Batteries Plus is now Batteries Plus Bulbs!
On June 20th, at the International Franchise Expo (IFE) in New York City, Batteries Plus CEO, Russ Reynolds, announced that we are changing our name; emphasizing our dual-focus on both batteries and bulbs, as well as their related accessories. Furthermore, our dedication to superior customer service in an assisted-sale environment has not changed; it has simply been enhanced.
Customers can still expect to receive the same level of service they have come to appreciate from us over the past 25 years, as they continue to look to us to assist them with their battery and light bulb needs. After all, as the production of incandescent bulbs phases out by 2014, customers will need a trusted source to rely on as they sort through the array of energy-efficient replacement lighting products they now have to choose from (CFLs, LEDs, Halogens, etc.). This is exactly what makes the addition of bulbs the perfect complement to Batteries Plus.
Since we began selling light bulbs in many of our store locations back in 2010, we have already established ways to effectively communicate bulb features to customers. Now, with more than 86 percent of stores prominently featuring light bulb products, it’s proved to be the right time for us to officially rebrand with “Bulbs” in order to increase consumer awareness of our expanded product focus and show our commitment to the expanding $17 billion U.S. light bulb replacement industry*. Our goal is to rebrand the majority of all existing Batteries Plus stores over the next few years.
