A lot can (and does) happen over the course of twenty-five years. Over the past quarter-century, we have witnessed: our world’s population increase by roughly 2 billion people, numerous cataclysmic events, major technological advancements, remarkable human triumphs and, unfortunately, time-stopping tragedies. These moments and accomplishments are what define “our times” and shape our culture, as our history determines the path to our future, and we constantly adapt to the occurrences happening all around us.
At Batteries Plus, now Batteries Plus Bulbs, we have likewise seen gigantic growth and change in our own company culture since 1988. Within the context of the ever-changing world around us, we have persevered, evolved and become the most prolific battery and light bulb franchise in the country, growing from a single store in Green Bay, WI to over 580 locations nationwide and counting! Throughout this time, we have all experienced many successes and challenges, personally and professionally. We have advanced in our careers, and we have raised families. Still, through it all, we developed as a single culture, working together, through good times and bad, helping each other along the way, and building a solid company that has stood the test of time.
The timeline below captures a snapshot of those notable events that occurred in the world around us, along with the milestones of the company, capturing the quintessential moments that have defined our collective lives over the past 25 years. Please join us for a stroll down Memory Lane …
